Well, I’m dusting off the blog again, this time with a new
direction and vision. I recently unearthed several notebooks worth of old
sermon notes that I’ve been holding onto for years. I’ve been wanting to
catalog them, which is why I hadn’t let go of them before, so it occurred to me
that the blog would be a great way to not only catalog the notes, but also to
share them, and to provide motivation to see it through to the last note. I
know there are some real gems in my notes, so I’m excited to see what treasures
are buried between the covers of the notebooks.
As for chronology, I’m pretty sure I have notes that go back
to my teenage years. I have little interest in putting all the notebooks in
order, so I’m grabbing them at random. I’ll make notes about what I remember of
the location and speaker, and when possible link to bio information. I’ll end
each post with my thoughts about the notes and how I see it impacting me in the
present.
At times I will blog about other things on my heart. For
instance, we eat very little processed food. Recently I’ve had a lot of people
asking me about it, so I want to lay it all out here, along with links to help
other people get started on their own natural foods journeys. With that being
said, I don’t intend this to be a blog about healthy eating and homemaking.
There are tons of blogs out there about that, and most of those bloggers have
much more expertise in the area than I do. At times I may link to other blogs
or information that I think is important and will be helpful. You’ll also
notice some affiliate links on the right-hand side of the page, as well as a
link to an Amazon bookshelf. If you purchase things via these links, I will
receive a small commission. Any commission would be greatly appreciated, as it
will be a great help to my family as we endeavor to give as the Lord leads, pay
off our debts, and provide for our needs.
Currently there is one another motivation for my return to
the blogging world. My church, Crossroads Vineyard Church is getting ready to
take a missions trip to India with The Jesus Way. I have a very strong desire
for my husband and myself to take part in this trip. You can read more about
the trip here.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog. Please
share it with your family and friends. My desire is to touch people’s hearts
and encourage them to live with the purpose of bringing God’s Kingdom to bear
on Earth.
